"I’ve always loved the big cats, especially the Tiger. I visited a tiger rescue here in Florida and got to see these beautiful cats up close. I spent the whole day learning about the tigers and how they came to live at the rescue. After researching their prey and natural hunting areas, I painted this Sumatran Tiger with a spotted deer in its mouth. They hunt throughout the wooded areas and surprise their prey with a powerful leap. They inhabit the lowland and mountain forests of Indonesia. There are no more than 500 individuals living in the wild. I wish I could see these beautiful big cats in the wild, but maybe someday…"
