Cropped size: 12" x 12" on canvas
"I decided to do a painting of two wild mustangs with wind knots in their manes, so I primed my canvas with a gray primer as usual. I sketched out the horses, but couldn't seem to get the painting started. A few days later on a Sunday morning I looked at the canvas in front of the window and saw an image of a young foal in the primer. The back light from the window made it appear. It was just like what happened with my Daniel in the Lion's Den painting! Another supernatural image from the Lord. Of course, I tossed out my sketch and painted the young foal. It was just like the wild filly, Savannah who I found in the Sand Wash Basin peeking her head up over the sagebrush. Since the foal was in the upper right corner, I thought I would need something to balance the painting. A jack rabbit came to my mind since I saw one with the wild horses in the undergrowth. All of a sudden I saw an image of a rabbit in the primer! So I painted the rabbit, too. I documented it all on video."
