This painting is taken from the Bible in 1 Peter 5:8 where it says "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." The Lord gave this painting to me one day as I was pondering on this verse. I saw an image before me with the lion prowling and a little girl sitting unaware playing with her toys. I grabbed the nearest piece of paper and pencil and quickly did a sketch of what I saw. We are all God’s little children and need to be aware of the enemy’s tactic, yet know "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." Luke 10:19
