"This was the first Bible verse I painted back in 2003. It was before the Chronicles of Narnia came out in theaters. A friend of mine asked me to paint the lion and lamb, but I couldn’t find a verse that actually said this. I did find Revelation 5:5 where it talks about the Lion of Judah (who is Jesus) and how He has already triumphed. Jesus is referred to as our shepherd and we are like sheep, so this is the verse I used for the lion and the lamb. I combined photos for the lion and used one of my lambs from the farm as reference material for the painting."
