"I was looking for verses in the Bible with animals and I came across the second part of Isaiah 11:6 which says ’the leopard will lie with the goat’. I had recently visited the Sanford Zoo and I got a photo of the Amur Leopard right after they placed some catnip on a huge log. The leopard was enjoying rubbing its face against the log, so I used this photo as a reference for this painting. The goat kid is one of my kids I raised on the farm and I combined them to make this painting."
