"These two stallions were seen at the McCullough Peaks in Wyoming while I spent the day photographing the wild horses. The older bay stallion is named Muskagee and the younger black and white pinto stallion is Riot. Riot was always one of my favorites to watch. They came together for a greeting, touched noses, pawed the ground and stirred up the dust on a windy day. After a few squeals and kicks the greeting was over. I loved the way their manes were blowing in the wind. It was the last time I will see Riot in the wild. He was rounded up and lost his freedom."
